KAIST Graduate School of Management, KGSM MBA (Master of Business Administration)

An MBA with a technological approach, only at KAIST Graduate School of Management

KAIST Graduate School of Management MBA Program

KAIST Graduate School of Management, KGSM MBA (Master of Business Administration)KAIST actually stands for Korean Advanced Institute of Science and Technology. It's a mouthful so the school is usually referred to as KAIST Graduate School of Management or even just KGSM. The school is located in Seoul , Korea and you might not recognize the name but the school has actually won awards from ASIAWEEK and only recently it was in Asia Week's top ten for “ Asia 's Best MBA Schools”.

FACT:
Founded in 1971 it was actually known only as KAIS and was solely focused on education scientific researchers and technology specialists. This changed in 1996 with the introduction of the management school and since then their MBA program has grown in leaps and bounds.

The school itself is located in the heart of Seoul , which as you know is an international center in Asia . During your time off, you can enjoy the different, colorful culture of Korea . If you're feeling adventurous you could try wandering around the city by yourself (public transportation is convenient and cheap) or you can decide to take a tour on the Seoul Tour Bus. And from what I heard, there is always either some festival or exhibition going on somewhere in the city of Seoul so taking an MBA at KAIST is certainly not going to be dull!

Studying MBA in KAIST Graduate School of Management

The MBA (Master of Business Administration) Degree programs offered by KGSM are quite unique. They are actually the first of their type in Korea and really allow you to explore your interests not just in the business world, but in the world of Science and Technology as well.

The types of MBAs that they have are:

KAIST Graduate School of Management, KGSM MBA (Master of Business Administration)1. Techno-MBA

The interview is actually part of stage two where you will have to present yourself to the committee. During the interview you will most likely be talking to them about your background, character and your professional goals.

Student Life

At KAIST Graduate Management School , grades and achievements are important but I think you'll also be happy to learn that they are quite encouraging as well when it comes to student activities. They have clubs of many interests ranging from music to sports to religion, so you shouldn't have a problem fitting in and finding your niche somewhere.

As for facilities, KGSM's new SUPEX Management Complex is pretty super. It's got enough state-of-the-art multimedia audio and video systems, high-speed LAN, and digital facilities (including a digital library) for you to completely geek out about.

FACT:
They have a cyber hall close to the library where you can access the internet 24 hours a day! You will also be able to access the computer center's services remotely like from your house or a cyber café.

At The End Of The Day

Overall I'd say that KAIST Graduate School of Management is an interesting place to pursue an MBA. Their style of teaching itself is innovative and fresh. I love their forward thinking and how they have been trying to incorporate new technology into old school teachings and I believe that there is a lot that KGSM has to offer that you can and will enjoy. The city itself is quite lively as well although communication might be a slight hindrance but if you're determined to have a good time, no amount of language barrier will stop you.
