The University of Hong Kong is actually the oldest tertiary education institution in Hong Kong . Studying MBA in the University of Hong Kong
The MBA (Master of Business Administration) degree program from the University of Hong Kong lasts for 2 years and includes
• Five foundation core courses
• Four required theme courses
• One capstone course (compulsory)
• Two executive workshops
• Six electives.
Like the name suggests, the five core courses will be like a refresher into business management. You'll be taking subjects like Marketing, Accounting and Data Analysis. As for the themed courses consists of 4 areas that you can choose 4 subjects from. They are:
• Strategy for doing business in China and the region
• Accounting, Financial Control and Corporate Governance
• Information technology and e-Business Transformation
• Managing People and Change
Each of these areas will have a list of units where you can choose from. Some of the units are required and compulsory but a majority of them are not. This means that you will not only choose to do what you feel like doing, but you can really specialize because you will be picking at least 3 of 4 of your subjects in that area.
FACT: You may be exempted from certain courses and units if you can produce evidence (transcripts and course syllabus) to show that you have taken an equivalent course and obtained a satisfactory grade on the course.
Admission requirements for the University of Hong Kong MBA are very simple. You need a bachelor's degree from a recognized university (or equivalent), a good GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test) score and have at least three years working experience.

They don't just have a host of Student Services available to you, they also believe that all work and no play isn't healthy for you and that's why Student Societies are also highly encouraged by the university. Currently they have over 30 clubs of interest including a Magic Club, a Writing Workshop, an Electronics Society, a Biology Club and so on! You won't believe the list of clubs they have, no matter what your interest in, you're bound to find something. Just don't forget that you're not there just to indulge in your interests, you are working for an MBA too!
The University of Hong Kong Libraries (also known as HKUL) is actually second in WorldCat's top ten libraries. It's probably worth mentioning that their list includes the likes of the Library of Congress and the British Library. HKU has several general libraries that you will have access to as a student of the University of Hong Kong . And if somehow you can't find what you need, don't worry. The library has computers that are linked to a whole bunch of other electronic resources that you can read and even download.

Currently the University of Hong Kong is considered to be an excellent place to take up an MBA because of its ties with Shanghai and China . This is of course related to China becoming one of the world's super powers.
