The International University of Japan started with the aim of becoming the first university in Japan to adopt the US style of business teaching. It is a university well known for international teachings but from an Asian/Japanese point of view. The Master of Business administration (MBA) degree program at the International University of Japan is 21 months long. For the first year, you will go through foundation courses. The units there are basic business management units such as Accounting, Business Law, Corporate Finance and so on. For the second year, you can choose to continue with a general MBA program or specialize further in an area of interest . The specializations that you can choose from include:

FACT: The IUJ MBA program is designed as a full time, residential program that will take 21 months (6 terms and a summer internship period) to complete. Previous studies at other institutions will not reduce the 21 month residential requirement for an MBA at IUJ.
The minimum requirement for a MBA program at the International University of Japan is a bachelor's degree from a recognized institution. No previous working experience is required.
Student Life
The International university of Japan encourages their students to not just study and learn, but they hope to introduce Japan to you and other international students. They have various clubs and activities, many of which tie in to the Japanese culture. IUJ also has an Intensive Japanese Program incase you have problems adjusting to living in Japan .
The university's Matsushita Library and Information Centre (MLIC) is also extremely popular with the students. It has everything you could need from computing rooms (that are open 24 hours a day!), study rooms, a library and a special hall used for seminars and social events. MLIC also has a wireless LAN so if you have a computer or a laptop, you will be able to connect it to the campus's network anywhere within the MLIC!

Studying in Japan will be to some either a culture shock or an experience of a lifetime. For those who are looking for an opportunity to live and experience life in Japan , attending the International University of Japan will give you that chance. But because Japanese are such extremists, those without and open mind may have problems adjusting to their new living conditions. Depending on your study habits, state of mind and so on, this may or may not affect your experience as well as you ability to fully excel in your MBA program.
