Student Life
If you ever have any problems while you're taking your MBA at UQ, you can always go to their Student Centers. The staff there will help you with any problems you might have whether its problems with registration, exams, fees, career counseling, personal counseling. Anything.
What I like about the University of Queensland is their approach to student activities. Instead of organizing everything, they've created a UQ Union. It's basically a student run group that represents the uni. You even get to elect your own representatives. These people are important because they will be the ones who will pass your feedback to the university for you. Of course they're also in charge of the fun stuff like dances, concerts, car rallies, barbeques and so on.
Now enough about fun let me tell you about their facilities. The University of Queensland 's library is really impressive! It's the largest in the state and it not only has old school library facilities, it has also been integrated with top IT and online facilities. The students there love it so much they call it their Cybrary. It's also open 84 hours a week so you can't say that you didn't have time to go there.
FACT: UQ's Library features include 24 hour a day, dial in access via library web page as well as more than 1100 computers for assignments, research, internet access and so on. They even have additional facilities for laptops.
At The End Of The Day
Overall, the MBA program offered by the University of Queensland seems very strong and if you do well you'll even get a chance to work with some of the uni's professional associations and that's a target worth gunning for. The activities outside of studies seem quite outdoorsy so if you're not that kind of person then you might not appreciate it as much. Basically I'd say that if you go for the MBA program at The University of Queensland you're going to get a pretty good mix and balance of study and play.
